Jyoti Sohar Switchgear LLC was incorporated in 2000. The Company is promoted jointly by the Omar Zawawi Establishment (OMZEST) and M/s Jyoti Ltd., India.

The Company is located in Sohar Industrial Estate, Sohar, and manufactures Medium Voltage Metal Clad Switchgear for 12 KV System and Relay & Control Panels, under technical collaboration with Jyoti Ltd., India, a leader in MV Switchgear technology in India for more than 40 years.

• A compact, lightweight construction optimised to give minimum weight-to-KA ratio.
• Floor-drawn full track design.
• A unique ‘U’ shaped insulation barrier housing the vacuum interrupters imparting maximum mechanical strength against electro-dynamic forces and providing most effective phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth segregation.
• A simple motor as well as manually charged spring operating mechanism known for its high performance reliability.

The metal-clad panel is fully extensible and fully compartmentalized into:

• Circuit Breaker Compartment
• Busbar Compartment
• CT and Cable Compartment
• A Separate L.T. Compartment is provided on top of the panel, on the front side, for fixing necessary instrumentation, metering and protective equipment.

GENERAL APPROVAL RECEIVED FROM MHEW

The Switchgear manufactured by M/s Jyoti Sohar Switchgear has received a General Approval Letter from the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water, Sultanate of Oman.
